How to replace exising pictures or attached files

If you want to replace the pictures or attached files you already have on your site with others, the easiest way is:

1. On the front end navigate to the page that contains your images.
2. Add "/_edit" to the URL in your browser address bar, click GO, and log-in. The "Content's Standard" screen will open.
3. Select the "Attachments" tab. The "Attachments" screen will open.
4. Click on the name of the picture that you want to replace, the "Edit File" screen will open.
5. Near the top of the screen is an "Overwrite?" text box, with a browse button. Use it to browse to your replacement picture.
6. Click commit.
7. Your replacement picture should load into the system replacing the existing one.

CAUTION:

Sometimes the picture does not actually load, (and there is no warning). [It's due to interruptions on the Internet, and can be a problem with big files]

So look at the "file size" and "last updated" information (just above the commit button)

If your picture has not updated, just go through the above steps 5), 6), 7) again.
